Heavenly Father,

Your word reminds us in Matthew 5:23-24, "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift." We understand the importance of seeking reconciliation before presenting ourselves before you.

Lord Jesus, you are the ultimate reconciler. You showed us through your sacrifice on the cross the depth of your love and desire for unity among your people. We pray that you would help us to follow your example, to extend forgiveness and grace to those who have hurt us, and to humbly seek forgiveness from those we have wronged.

Holy Spirit, we ask for your presence and guidance in the process of reconciliation. Help us to see each other through your eyes, as beloved children of God, created in your image.
